    LGBTQIA+ and AltSex Populations

Stigma-free, affirming therapy for LGBTQIA+, Poly, and Kinky Individuals

Do you live outside of the heteronormative-cisgender box?

Are you seeking therapy from someone who understands kink, BDSM, or poly relationships?

Are you in the process of coming out to friends and family about your gender, your sexual orientation, or your relationship status?

Are you seeking gender affirmation and need a letter for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or surgery?

Or maybe you’re seeking therapy about another concern—from someone who understands where you’re coming from.

Could you use a safe space to process your feelings and assess your goals?

If you can relate to any of these, then you’ve come to the right place.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
    Oscar Wilde

Stigma, in any form, is an impediment to the well-being of those who experience it. Given the stressors that members of alternative sexuality and gender minorities must confront, such as homophobia, prejudice, coming out, and discrimination, finding a therapist who is openly friendly and aware is important to your personal grown.

I believe everyone deserves to have a therapist who understands their identity, orientation, and sexual practices without unnecessarily making that a focus of treatment. If relationships are your primary focus for therapy, we’ll work with that, and if your primary focus is another concern, such as depression or trauma, I’ll focus there. I will remain aware of cultural bias against LGBTQ, BDSM, and poly identities and practices and help you deal with that as appropriate in our work together. I will be sensitive to whether and how your kink or poly identity affects your work, social, and family relationships—not only your intimate relationships but also other family connections, work relationships, and social interactions.

As a member of the queer community myself, I am committed to helping clients of all genders, orientations, sexual identities and expressions feel not only safe but truly respected.

If you or someone you know is seeking help from an LGBTQIA+, poly-friendly, kink-aware therapist, contact me today. I would be happy to speak with you about how I can help.
